Thank you for listening to the Narrow Way Christian Ministries online church service, today's sermon is a part of the Revealing the Antichrist series, and I would like to start by reading a scripture from the book of (Matthew 24:15) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

The Title of today’s sermon is the Abomination of Desolation, and the purpose of this sermon is to help you understand what the abomination of desolation is. This sermon will explain the significance of the Abomination of Desolation regarding end time Bible prophecy. This sermon will show you from scripture, the exact timing and location of the Abomination of desolation, and will reveal the future world event that will lead to its establishment in the city of Jerusalem. The Abomination of Desolation is a very important part of Bible prophecy, and I hope this sermon will help you gain a deeper understanding of this subject, because Jesus said in the book of (Matthew 24:15) whoso readeth, let him understand.

To begin building an understanding on this subject, I would like to list some scriptures that mention the Abomination of Desolation and explain their significance. The first scripture that I would like to highlight is found in the book of (Daniel 9:27) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

To explain the meaning of this scripture and it significance, I would say that this Bible verse is a prophetic scripture describing what is known as Daniel’s 70th week, which is a seven year time period before the Battle of Armageddon and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. The scripture in (Daniel 9:27) is foretelling two major world events that will take place before the second coming of Jesus Christ. The first event takes place at the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week, and the second in the middle of Daniel’s 70th week, both of which I will now detail.

The first event described by this scripture that signals the beginning of Daniel's 70th week is the confirmation of the Old Covenant, and the reinstatement of animal sacrifices in Jerusalem. It is my doctrine that this event took place at the 70 nations conference, which was held from the 23rd to the 25th of September 2019, for more information about this event see our article titled THE CONFIRMED COVENANT.

The second event described in Daniel 9:27 will take place in the middle of Daniels 70th week, exactly 1260 days, or three and a half years after the conformation of the Old Covenant. Bible prophecy tells us that the middle of Daniel's 70th week will be marked by the Antichrist led, invasion of Israel, and the ending to animal sacrifices in Jerusalem. Scripture tells us that these events will lead to the setting up of the Abomination of Desolation in Jerusalem, and the establishment of the Antichrist one world religion. (Daniel 9:27) provides the Bible student with an exact timeline concerning the Abomination of Desolation, and provides world events that will help us recognize the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The next scripture from the book of Daniel that I will detail, is an already fulfilled prophecy that stands as a foreshadowing of the coming antichrist, and the Abomination of Desolation. This scripture gives us great insight into our future, and the events surrounding the Abomination of Desolation. The reason we can learn so much from this Old Testament scripture, is because it is a dual prophecy, meaning that it has both a past fulfillment, and a future fulfillment that is yet to come. I will now read this amazing Bible verse, and explain its historical significance, and how it relates to the Abomination of Desolation. The scripture is found in (Daniel 11:31) And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

(Daniel 11:31) accurately foretold the actions of a man that history knows as Antiochus Epiphanes, a Greek king of the Seleucid Empire who reigned over Syria, and invaded Jerusalem in the year 168 B.C. (Daniel 11:31) describes this invasion, and Antiochus Epiphanes stopping of the daily animal sacrifice that was taking place in Jerusalem. History tells us that immediately after stopping the daily sacrifice, Antiochus erected a image of Zeus (Satan) in the court of the temple, and carried away captive all those who would not worship the image. The image that Antiochus Epiphanes erected in Jerusalem is the Abomination of Desolation, and this historical event is what Jesus told those who read the scriptures to understand. The invasion of Jerusalem by Antiochus Epiphanes and his setting up and idol or image in place of the daily sacrifice, is a foreshadowing of the Antichrist 666, and the final Abomination of Desolation.

The Bible says in the book of (Ecclesiastes 1:9-10) The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.

Another scripture that gives us more insight into this subject is found in the third chapter of the book of Daniel, this chapter details an event that also foreshadows the Abomination of desolation, and the revealing of the Antichrist. Daniel chapter three tells the story of Nebuchadnezzar (the king of Babylon) erecting a massive golden idol in the plains of Dura, and essentially commanding the world to bow down and worship the image. This foreshadowing of the Abomination of Desolation is described in the book of (Daniel 3:4-6) Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

So from this scripture we can see that the Bible is giving us a clear picture of the abomination of desolation, and the events surrounding its appearance. For further confirmation of this, one only has to compare the events described in Daniel 3, with the prophecy found in (Revelation 13:14-15) And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

By comparing the story of Nebuchadnezzar described in Daniel chapter three, to the scripture in Revelation chapter thirteen, we can see that they are parallel passages which give us a deep understanding of the subject. By simply comparing these scriptures, the Bible will reveal that the image of the Beast described in Revelation chapter thirteen, is the Abomination of Desolation, spoken of by Jesus Christ in (Matthew 24:15). Jesus warned His followers about the Abomination of Desolation, and the Bible explains exactly what will transpire before it is erected in Jerusalem. The Bible teaches us that in the last days, God will Unite the nations of the world against the modern day state of Israel, and gather its armies against Jerusalem. Jesus said in the book of (Luke 21: 20) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Bible prophecy tells us that in the middle of Daniel's 70th week, Jerusalem will be invaded by a global army, which will be led by the Antichrist 666. The invasion of Jerusalem of 168 B.C. which was led by Antiochus Epiphanes, stand as historical foreshadowing of the end time invasion of Jerusalem and the setting up of the final Abomination of Desolation. I would note that Jesus Christ warned us about the Abomination of Desolation, and the Antichrist's end time invasion of Jerusalem, which is detailed in (Daniel 11:21) to (Daniel 12:13). These scriptures detail the rise of the Antichrist, and the events that lead to False Prophet setting up the image of the beast that is described in (Revelation 13:14-15). The end time invasion of Jerusalem is foretold in both the Old and New Testament, and is God's judgment on the reprobate "Jews" that today inhabit and defile God's Holy land. The scripture teaches that as a result of their wickedness, the "Jews" that occupy Jerusalem will be invaded by the international armies of the Antichrist, and taken away captive. This is described in the book of (Revelation 13:9-10) If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

To conclude this sermon I would like to say that the Abomination of Desolation (Image of the Beast) will be set up by the False Prophet in the city of Jerusalem, in the middle of Daniel's 70th week, according to the scripture. The Image of the Beast is an idol that symbolizes the Antichrist and the Catholic (Universal) church of Satan. The Bible teaches us that because of the murder of Christ, the occupation of God's Holy land, and the reinstatement of animal sacrifices, God will send an international military coalition, to invade Jerusalem and stop the animal sacrifices that began on the 25th September 2019. If you would like more information on this subject, please take the time to read our articles titled: THE CONFIRMED COVENANT and JESUITS: SOCIETY OF SOLOMON.

To finish this sermon I would like to read one final scripture from the book (Isaiah 3:8-11) For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory. The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves. Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
