WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
(Acts 16:30-31) Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Many people have heard the name of Jesus Christ, most people know the story of Jesus, most even know that he was the Son of God and that he died on a cross and rose again. But sadly most people do not understand the Gospel message, and what they must do to be saved. I have written this article so that anyone who reads it can know what the Bible says you must do to be saved: but before we can even discuss how a person can receive the salvation of Christ, one must understand what they need to be saved from.
WHY DO I NEED SALVATION?
The Bible teaches in (Romans 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. And the Bible also teaches in (Romans 3:10) There is none righteous, no, not one.
From these two scriptures we can be sure that everybody has sinned, and none of us are considered righteous in the eyes of God Almighty. No person is without sin in their life, and this presents everyone with a serious problem. The Bible teaches in (Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death. But what does that really mean? It simply means that sin causes death, the Bible teaches that human beings are sinful, like I said before, we have all broken God's law therefore we die in our flesh as punishment for our sin, because the wages of sin is death. But even after we die in the flesh, there is another eternal punishment for sin that the Bible calls the second death. It says in (Revelation 21:8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
The Bible teaches that sinners deserve to go to the lake of fire, but the good news is that God loves you, and He does not want you to go to hell. God loves you so much that He has provided you with a way to be forgiven for all of your past and future sins, and to be saved from going to hell.
WHAT IS THE GOOD NEWS?

The answer to this question is best expressed by reading a scripture in (Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. And also in (John 3:16-17) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
The good news is that Jesus died, on the cross as payment in full for all of your sin, Jesus then rose from the dead after three days and nights showing us that he has the power of life and death and that death has no power over him. Jesus has the power of eternal life, and he wants you to have eternal life and become one of God's children. If you believe this message and you want to receive eternal life and forgiveness of sin, God has not only made this possible but He has also made salvation very simple. So how do you get saved and receive eternal life?
SALVATION
Salvation is received by faith and faith alone in Jesus Christ, but before you can put your faith in Christ, you must acknowledge that you are a sinner and need forgiveness (Romans 3:23). You have to know that the punishment for sin is death and hell (Romans 6:23) and finally you must believe that Jesus died on the cross as payment in full for your sins (Romans 5:8). Once a person acknowledges these things, there is only one thing left to do, and that is to call upon the name of Jesus Christ and receive him as your Saviour.
The Bible says in (Romans 10:9-10) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you believe this message which is the true gospel of Jesus Christ you can receive God's free gift of eternal life by simply calling upon the name of Jesus to be your LORD and Saviour, nothing else is required. If you believe in the Gospel and want to receive Jesus, call upon I invited you to call upon Him now and pray this simple prayer with me.
ASK GOD TO SAVED YOU

"Dear LORD, I know that I am a sinner and that the punishment for my sin is death. But I believe in your Son, and I believe in the Gospel of the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Please have mercy on me and forgive me LORD. I accept the sacrifice that Jesus made for me on the cross as payment for my sin, and I want to be saved. Please let me receive your Holy Spirit into my heart and open my eyes to your truth through reading the Bible. Please help me to understand your word and lead me to your purpose in Jesus name Amen."
SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
If you believe the Gospel of Christ, and have called upon Him, you are now saved It’s that simple, but with that said, it is very important to understand that salvation is received through faith alone in Jesus Christ, and you cannot trust in our own righteousness or good works (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is also essential that you know that once you are saved you are always saved, nothing can take away your salvation or separate you from the love of Jesus Christ (John 6:37). These foundational beliefs are the true meaning of faith in Jesus Christ, and without them there is no salvation.
(John 3:17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
